I am a nerd, from waaayyy back, and They Might Be Giants is an art rock nerd band, from way back, playing all the same clubs and gigs and shows as all the underground NYC bands in the very early 80's.

I don't know that I'd say MOST stuff on GSL is a disappointment... but there was a lot of stuff. Especially after the Mars Volta started sticking their noses in everything.

I didn't know you liked the Phantom Limbs though. They were fucking awesome.

Yeah, Phantom Limbs are amazing.

"Displacement" is one of the best albums I can think of. That fucking organ!!!

Neubauten's okay, but they disappointed me. Not every band I listed was something I HATED, just stuff that wasn't what it was hyped up to be.
