I love threads like this. They let me know who on the board is a complete idiot.

Lurker 05.11.2010 11:00 AM

What has this particular one taught you?

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 05.12.2010 03:52 PM

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to HaydenAsche again.

Lurker 05.12.2010 04:00 PM

He might be talking about you for all you know.

that's more or less accurate-- but i don't see how it has any relation from the first part of your statement, unless you think that to have "value" you have to be made of some special substance. which would be...? (i'm curious about what you think that could be, and more important, why you think you're lacking it)

That's exactly it. We simply are not made of a valuable substance. It's a simple issue of supply and demand. There are so many fucking people, which drops the value in our material worth. If there were only a few hundred thousand of us... human flesh would be worth more than gold.

I blame it on the chinese that I can walk down the block without old timey prospectors eyeballing me like my body was ripe with luster. Biting me to see if I'm the real deal.

A country should be more than just a geographical territory. If you go to live in a country, and you don't learn the primary language of 90% of its residents (or whatever the number is), then are you really trying to become part of that country's society? Or are you only trying to create your own subculture?

As for the driver's exam, you could make the argument that recently-arrived immigrants need to be able to drive in order get a job and get established, while they learn English, but you could also argue that speaking English should be required to even live here in the first place.

Thoughts? I fully expect to get ridiculed for this, but that's life, isn't it?

No one in Alabama speaks English. I'm all for this because the next logical step would be to mock people for having retarded accents that make them sound like fucking idiots. I'd rather talk to someone with any accent but Southern.

ironically I would NEVER travel to the south because nigger lovers are treated worse than black folks there, but I have always found the southern accent pleasing to the ear.
