It was alright. Not amazing, but relaxing. We rented a lakeside cabin about 4 hours away from the city. We drove to Manhattan for a day, I navigated my dad around, then we saw a Yankee game, got to see a grand slam, got the worst sunburn of my life, etc.

I got back a couple days ago, but had to find some Guinness and hang out with pals, catch up.

Then yesterday me and my friend finally pulled off the $25 poker tournament we've been trying to set up for months. Only 10 people showed up, but they had pizza and a keg and I brought whiskey and it was pretty fun. I got second and won $60. Lost to a drunk guy with everyone watching, though.

Oh yeah! Yes, I actually got the Ayler recording downloaded at the hotel by the airport the first day, but didn't have internet at the cabin. I skimmed through a few of the songs and then got distracted.
