Interesting that you should mention them. Earlier today I posted the Hjulstrom Curve on noumenal's bellringing thread. It measures the relationship between river velocity and erosion/transportation/deposition of particles. I discovered the Hjulstrom Curve at college, whilst studying the whole geography/geology thing. Anyway, I did an extensive study of a short stretch of the River Clywedog, near Wrexham. As part of the preparation I studied rivers extensively, including the fascinating phenomenon of oxbow lakes! Small world, eh? I've never heard the band, though, but perhaps they did a bit of geography too.

I'm listening to 'Jobless Youngsters' by Bogshed, by the way.

The Pillows - Smile, one great record by a band that should be much more known to Americans. It's a shame that the only way that some Americans know this band is thru Fooly Cooly. Even though it was a really cool show with great music. They should definitly tour again here and do more than just a few shows.

What's this "probably"?

Fuck NO there is not! :D

The Stooges "Funhouse" show at the Hammersmith Apollo last summer was the single KOOLest THING I have EVER seen. Ever.

Iggy-Asheton-Asheton-Watt on tour is a blessing from god (or, possibly, someone lower...)

Katy 04.12.2006 12:18 AM

Oh, and I'm listening to Selfish Cunt, at the moment.

"No Wicked Heart Shall Prosper".
