I don't think I've ever been as enchanted with this band as I am at this very second of my life, right now.

At the risk of asking something that already has been said ... but is "Dreamland" on Horse Cock Phepner a cover? Not even the melody? I keep asking that myself for quite some time now.
Here's the tune: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SoJtS-gT8Kc |
i don't think it's a cover.
though at least two bands (Wingtip Sloat; The Go! Team) have covered "Kill The Klansmen" |
tab to The Venerable Song (The Meaning Of Which Is No Longer Known) from bright surroundings bright beginnings
super easy play this for 22 minutes sometimes doubling the tempo and playing the E chord when it gets fast. A String:--------2-3-2-3-2-----2------ E String:------0-------------3--------- |
anyone grab the eddy detroit/scg 7". apparently it's taken form the same sessions as mephisto cigar, which is cool track for sure
i just ordered it and am hoping it's good ![]() |
Alan Bishop playing tonight in Boston (well, Charlestown).

i love how NONE of my friends cannot stand any song from
330,003 Crossdressers from Beyond the Rig Veda which is funny as hell. because i love sneaking songs onto mix cds i give them. but i fucking love that album, been listening to it since high school i downloaded the first 4 albums and also dug them that's one band that should have everything re-issued on vinyl i'd so pick some of them up |
apparently this is richard bishop's yard sale

Alan's got a new Alvarius B record coming out soon (Fuck You And The Horse You Rode In On)...just got an email from him yesterday and he's busy working in Cairo.
|
I put 5 cds of them on my cell phone
sure livings up some of those boring parties I end up at |
Man, I went to the record store last week, and the dude was kind enough to put on a Sun City Girls record I wanted to check out. It was a double LP of very early tape experiments. it was tedious.
Then he told me that was not too representative of their output and put on a live concert of the Sun City Girls and I listened to that, and it was noodly and boring in every respect. Just my experience. |
