Where it's dark as a dungeon damp as the dew danger is double pleasures are few
Where the rain never falls the sun never shines
It's a dark as a dungeon way down in the mine

schizophrenicroom 08.31.2006 09:30 PM

finding nobody 08.31.2006 09:34 PM

I love that record.

schizophrenicroom 08.31.2006 10:21 PM

i love animal collective.

k-krack 08.31.2006 10:35 PM

Sung Tongs is one of the greatest albums ever concieved. (maybe not, but that album is twenny times good). Feels is such a total bliss-fest. Banshee Beat is one of my personal all-time favourite songs.

HaydenAsche 08.31.2006 11:18 PM

Both are wonderful. Sung Tongs is better.

k-krack 08.31.2006 11:23 PM

i agree.

aw shit! just today i went into cd plus (chain store.) to sell a bunch of dvds and came across both: Femme Fatale- from the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks and Death From Above's Romantic Rights EP!! i had never seen these in any stores before (thats a lie, i saw the RREP once at a local store) needless to say, i bought 'em.

HaydenAsche 08.31.2006 11:25 PM

Death from Above 1979 are TERRIBLE.

Happy, you cunt?

k-krack 08.31.2006 11:29 PM

relatively, yes. i tihnk you mispelled "kick ass" though. you should fix that too.

HaydenAsche 08.31.2006 11:32 PM

I fixed it. You knew what I meant, cockgoblin.

k-krack 08.31.2006 11:33 PM

heh heh heh. i have also done some editing.

HaydenAsche 09.01.2006 12:34 AM

post-editing bastard.

k-krack 09.01.2006 12:36 AM

ditto to you, jerkoff!

schizophrenicroom 09.01.2006 01:13 PM

k-krack 09.01.2006 01:23 PM

for good reason.

Hip Priest 09.01.2006 01:24 PM

ie they are excllent?

k-krack 09.01.2006 01:29 PM

most definately.

Hip Priest 09.01.2006 01:32 PM

The live performances on bootlegs are especially good, I think.

k-krack 09.01.2006 01:37 PM

Never heard any. I have seen a couple of live videos. They seem like a good show. he (mostly?) plays gtr with a finger, not a pick or finger picking, just the index finger. i guess it sounds softer...

Hip Priest 09.01.2006 01:40 PM

The Dom very kindly put a few in the bootlegs/share thread - they are excellent. I've tried to rep him, but it won't let me yet.

Many many thanks, The Dom.

Trasher02 09.01.2006 02:19 PM

I saw them live but they only played 10 minutes...
The 10 minutes were nice though.

Hey, no problem! always glad to share some cool music.

I have another thing called Living In A Word that is like a compilation of live material and unreleased/bonus tracks. There's 3 parts to it and if you would like me to upload it for you, I'd be glad to.

It was put up on the old board, so you might have it already.

dom- you rule for putting up the ac bootlegs.

TheDom 09.01.2006 02:36 PM

I never got into Big Black or any other Albini project. Their are some pretty cool Big Black songs but I get kind of bored with them after a while.

Trasher02 09.01.2006 02:37 PM

I like big black but the quality of the songs on "songs about fucking" is really lame. Bad penny rocks though

schizophrenicroom 09.01.2006 02:38 PM

i just really like it when i'm in certain moods. right now i feel sort of nihilistic.. so the album works for me.

Trasher02 09.01.2006 02:49 PM

I've been listening to Radiohead alot the last 2 months (which is taking way too long)

Trasher02 09.01.2006 02:49 PM

And yeah I had my first schoolday today...
School started again here and I'm depressed...

k-krack 09.01.2006 02:50 PM

I haven't heard much Big Black. 1000 Hurts (shellac obviously) is soo good though.

The first day does always kinda suck. Nothing happens.

I never really liked Radiohead, but I've been getting into them now.

1000 Hurts is awesome.

nicfit 09.01.2006 03:37 PM

The Hammer Party > Anything else Albini did.

k-krack 09.01.2006 04:05 PM

my shoe is rubbing against the piano at two places at once, so its making a non-rhythmic squeaking. im recording it and putting it on a triple 10" cd. want a copy?
