good. sexlife is decent, sun came out, survived traffic court phase one, work was harmless, realized Canadian dreamgirl has been reading what I post on this board as it is actually the only place I reveal the seriously fucked up personal life things and she knew, hung out with my son, long chat with a new friend, actually cooked a meal at home for the first time since I've lived here, and will now sleep in my own bed. o.k., that last one sucks actually, but such is single parenthood 3-4 nights a week...

phoenix 04.15.2010 08:46 AM

Tasty. Sleepy.

Suchfriends those pictures are really pretty :)

well they don't call it americano
they call it coffee
which makes it worse

that's waht I say yo

farming is not just planting crops. crops are bred and hybridized, to create storng genetic traits, or to combine traits. humans have been doing this since the dawn of agriculture, and it is NO BIG DEAL

you know what else is genetically modifying things? sex. any and all sex. whether between plants, or animals.

i'm talking about genetic engineering. that means that you insert strands of DNA into crops-- sometimes for beneficial effects sometimes for weird-ass shit.

the problem is-- it's mostly weird-ass SHIT LIKE THIS.

and it's not just hippies that give a shit about it

http://www.ucsusa.org/food_and_agric...-soybeans.html

suicide seeds? sure:

http://www.greenpeace.org/internatio.../suicide-seeds

the problem with those is that plasmids can spread to other crops and kill them too.

so, please, let's not dismiss corporate crimes with obvious arguments about food domestication-- it's not the same.

now, mind you, i'm not against genetic engineering per se-- i'm against the greedy fuckers who control the technology for pure profit regardless of consequences.

and soybeans are a shit, shit crop.

aint no thang.
look at seedless grapes.
or seedless oranges.

I ahve actrually heard morons say they are evil because "how can you oplant seeds from a seedless grape?"

people are stupid.

Took a train to Gatwick International Airport with a friend. Chilled out there for a while. Found out no planes are flying today due to volcanic ash in the atmosphere due to eruption of volcano in Iceland. Rambled all the way back home.

Nowhere. Just fancied a trip to Gatwick. It's a cool place to hang out in. :)

After you check-in they have all these VAT free shops. I still think about this dress at All Saints I would have tried on, but I only had enough time to get a coffee. Caffeine is always more important than semi-goth clothes.

ilduclo 04.15.2010 02:27 PM

I was up till 2 am listening to Earth and Wolves in the Throne Room, then had to get up at 6:30 AM for work. Tired, but ready to bike home, beautiful day by the river....

Gatwick's a great airport. I love it. We should meet up there sometime. I'll buy you a drink. :)

i've never been around morons who say seedless grapes are evil (ha! thankfully!), and i like seedless fruit, tangerines in particular, but i ain't touching roundup ready crops with a fucking harpoon.

the japanese have been ingesting FERMENTED soy in limited quantities for hundreds of years, but maybe that's why their weewees are so small-- ha! still, tofu and soy sauce and miso (all fermented, all whole soy) were invented before there was monsanto and ADM; and fermented soy is different from shit like TVP, soymilk, and the soybean oil that's present in pretty much everywhere in processed foods these days, feeding tons of phytates to an unsuspecting populace.

the japanese don't eat soy the same way that western people have adopted it in their diets as a way to hysterically flee from meat, they eat tofu in fish broth, or with pork, and seafood, and with marine vegetables which provide the extra minerals whose absorption the soy decreases (thus balancing out shit), and don't stuff themselves with fake soy chicken, soy "hotdogs", soy "eggs", soy protein isolates in smoothies, hydrogenated soybean oil, soybean isoflavone "supplements" (i.e., estrogen pills), and all that processed industrial crap from monsanto crops, plus the required herbicides that tear a new asshole to the ecosphere every year.

anyway, if people choose to eat toxic shit that requires assloads of pesticides to grow, that's their business i suppose-- i'm just putting out the info out there and clarifying that not all genetic modifications are the same, and some will definitely fuck up your gonads, brains, etc.-- and ADM doesn't give a shit as long as they keep peddling their merchandise.

what you're saying is the equivalent of claiming that a punch in the face is the same as a kick in the balls. and unwittingly taking large quantities of estrogens--- is like a kick in the balls (or the tits, for the ladies).

wellcharge 04.16.2010 12:36 AM

so, having mentioned monsanto and pesticides quite a few times, do you have any information to suggest that the coconut milk you're pushing is not monsanto and was grown without pesticides?

i do want to get some, as much as i like coconut water i'm apprehensive about putting coconut fluids in cereals or something

also according to the website of the product;
This delicious beverage goes great on cereal, in coffee, mix into recipes and poured into a tall glass.

so maybe you should read the label and maybe you should send me a handwritten apology

that;s not coconut milk, then, just some commercially packaged and marketed product, a "delicious beverage" that they like to call coconut milk because it's something like milk? send me the link. real coconut milk is a thick, disgusting consistency like yogurt or something particularly if its sold in a can

i wasnt speaking to YOU about reading the labels, i was talking to everyone so hop off your fucking high horse before you fall, i really don't have time for this

gmku 04.16.2010 06:39 AM
