I've found another creative twist one can add to making tapes, providing one has the right equipment: I used my turntable pitch control on a couple of songs for this next one--let's just say that even slowed down, David Bowie really does seem to be singing "mouse" in that line, "She says, oh baby, just you shut your mouth..." . He also sounds much sexier.

I've made a point of including the crackle, and also occasionally of leaving the sound of the needle lifting at the end of the track. Had any of my records skipped I'd have left that too, but they didn't.

When I finished my round 2 tape, Iinitially considering ditching it and starting all over again. But after a few listens, I actually prefer it to tape one. My only regret is that I made it 90 minutes instead of 120. But I can live with that.

Gash. I nearly finished the tape, but have decided on a drastic re-thinking of the track-listing. Probably posted on Sunday now.

Mine is burnt on 2 cds(one for each side) and I'll put it on a tape soon. Mine is going to come in a small box. Probably a shoebox without coverart. Only random things I decide to put in it.

I was thinking about putting small gifts in with mine, but didn't in the end. My local railway timetable was one of the possibilities.

Mix tape now finished. Perhaps not as much of a headfuck as the first, but certainly challenging. I'm pleased.

I've decided to abuse my position as coordinator this time, and listen to the tapes as they arrive.

I've listened to one so far and it's a corker.
