yeah, steve and lee co-wrote it after taking a trip downtown in the land of chocolate.
Some people are utterly clueless. I'm looking at YOU, russian dude!!!

No way!!! I thought EVERYONE on the face of the UNIVERSE knew about it!!!
Well, shit! I guess I should take down that bulletin.. from..the.. most checked bulletin..board in the.. universe... 'cos I put one up... a ..minute ago or..somethin'... |
As the King of the Land of Chocolate, I am calling for an immediate halt to this unauthorized publicity. Any further breach of our laws will result in a $75 fine and/or an appearance before a federal court. You have been warned.

Hello everyone. How lovely it is to be in this thread again. I've had an OK day, all in all.
hey, sebastian. i'm doing ok.
Hey Jade. I'm glad you're Ok, and I'm happy to report that I'm OK too. I had work today, and a meeting this evening.
Hi everyone. JADE how 'bout you add my other AIM name?
SugarKane1991 - it works alright. |
Hi Danny. In Probe they've got a second-hand vinyl copy of the SY bootleggy-compilation thing Happiness Is A Warm Gun, but they want £15 for it.
I got a copy from there already.

Whoa! My email is sugar_kane_!!! Seb, I got the mixtape today man! Thanks again! Very good. (Hello!) |
No problem. Hope you like it.
Probe has some good vinyl, though, right Seb?
I do/did indeed. I like the writing on the spine, it looks nice.
Danny: Probe has lots of nice vinyl. Quite a bit of Sonic Youth, but no Fall stuff though.
Steve: thanks. Did I use pink? I usually use pink. I'd especially love to hear your opinion of the Peel session version of Athlete Cured, as to be quite frank I consider it to be the pinnacle of mankind's achievement . |
Yeah, Probe has a lot of interesting NY noise stuff too. They have a Rhys Chatham 45 with 4 extremely long songs on it.

Hi samuel.
Danny: I was there about ten days ago. The techno/rap etc section had hardly any cd's in it. I wonder if they're cutting down on that sort of thing. |
You know my name!
Detective instinct.
How are you? I like your avatar. |
I reckon they are. I doubt any techno/rap types visit there, to be honest. To me, it's always been a sort of grown-up music shop- paired with Hairy Records on Bold Street. Rap and Techno vinyl can be easily found in Virgin Records anyways.
I mean the Aphex Twin - Warp - type of thing. The rap stuff was always the underground stuff.
Whenever I go in, they have something really good on the turntable that I've never heard. I got some old Gaye Bykers on Acid and Stupids EP's in Hairy recently. |
I'm reallyyyy bored, of course. That's why I'm posting.
How about yourself, how are you doing? |
There's always a good find in Hairy Records.
My internet connection went all crap for ten minutes there.
samuel: I'm OK, thank you. Danny: They've got some good stuff I might buy in future. |

Yep, pink with a thin black lining on some sides, for shadow... |
I cant even keep up anymore

welcome to my club FN! ;)

We were talking about the record stores in Liverpool. SO ANYWAY..
Probe used to be in a different location, perhaps it's called Button Street. Anyway, it's some hideous trendy clothes store now (Ted Baker or something). It was a good location - I think they only moved to Slater Street because of the Palace thing being there, but that's gone now. They used to sell tons of fanzines.
There was another place just behind the old shop that also sold records, there was a really good little one in the Acorn Arcade (now called something else, but just off Renshaw Street - I bought all my Nephilim records there). |
You can still get some free zines and posters in Probe.
Not many though. They used to stock loads. Blogs and messageboards are replacing fanzines, I think. Do you look in the reduced box? I sometimes buy an CD I've never heard of from there for £3. The Sermon's LP is a favourite.
Nah, I usually just look at the usual priced stuff. I'm silly.
Have you checked the used record guy in Quiggins? He sometimes has some OK stuff. It's not Quiggins anymore, is it? Grand Central now, I think. Much better were it is. I love it in there now.
Yeahhh it's in that building that used to be the Barcelona Bar. I haven't been inside yet. The largely emo customer populace repels me.
How are my favorite boardmembers doing?
