Yeah, it was booed and walked out of, but not the version you saw. That version has never been released. He had made another cut of the film that was something like an hour longer, featuring much more driving footage and whatnot. I think the slimmed-down version is actually a pretty great film. Underrated, definitely.

I really enjoyed The Brown Bunny, as well. I've never seen Buffalo '66 but have heard an awful lot of praise for the film.

I've just re-watched 1967's The Incident in honour of the fact that I have finally found a DVD copy of it on the internet, so I won't have to rely on my crappy VHS anymore. It's easily in my top 3 favourite movies of all the time, the way the tension builds up is amazing.

 we knew this was going to be awful when we rented it, but we were at least hoping for hilariously awful. it was just... boring. too much talking and plot, not enough people being CGI'd to bloody bits. |
 Pretty grim stuff, though you do get see Mick Jagger as a drag queen, which is just bizarre. |

I've probably watched Gore Gore Girls more than any horror movie ever, aside from Dead Alive and Night Train to Terror (and Psycho Cop 2, but that's more of a comedy). |
