Hip Priest 11.13.2006 06:05 PM

Belated congratulations. You should have pointed it out. Saying 'woooooo' helps people to notice it, too.

What was your 2,000th post?

Hip Priest 11.13.2006 06:06 PM

Nice use of the word 'bah', by the way. It's another much underused word.

Danny Himself 11.13.2006 06:11 PM

I can't remember, to be honest.

Hip Priest 11.13.2006 06:12 PM

I like the other milestones too: 111, 2222 and all of that. They look nice.

Danny Himself 11.13.2006 06:14 PM

Ah yes. I had 2002, 2020 and 1234.

Hip Priest 11.13.2006 06:16 PM

Plan something special for 2222.

On the way to Manchester on Saturday the train went through that new South Liverpool station. That's your part of the world, isn't it?

Danny Himself 11.13.2006 06:23 PM

Thats extremely close to my school.

Hip Priest 11.13.2006 06:36 PM

It looked quite nice. There's been a few stations built in Liverpool in the last few years.

Tonight's the night I rise from the depths of the swamp

Danny Himself 11.14.2006 11:25 AM

Swamp Creature!

sonicl 11.14.2006 11:43 AM

Books to help relive my childhood:

When I was a pre-teen, my life used to be measured by the periods between issues of "Commando".

Danny Himself 11.14.2006 01:07 PM

He looks very British. Not scared of offending muslims at all. It was a simpler time.

Hip Priest 11.14.2006 05:42 PM

He's not even looking where he's shooting; that must contravene some kind of health ans safety law. Mind you, his helmet's on fire, so he's probably finding it hard to think straight. He should put the gun down and take his helmet off.

Danny Himself 11.14.2006 06:00 PM

For all you, here's the news. I'll be commandeering the mix tapes this month!

The total genius, moral compass and bloody fine fellow Ian Hislop was born in Wales. And for that the world should be thankful, because he's bloody brilliant.

Danny Himself 11.14.2006 06:12 PM

Really? I love him. He looks like the pig from the loony toons.

Hip Priest 11.14.2006 06:14 PM

Oh. Why did I think this was the Wales thread?

I could have sworn I was in the Wales thread.

Danny Himself 11.14.2006 06:18 PM

Hah, I was wondering..

Hip Priest 11.14.2006 06:21 PM

Do you read Private Eye? He's edited that magazine for ages now, and it's earned him the title 'the most sued man in Britain'. He's absolute class..

Ahem. Anyway...wrong thread...

:o

I hope the mixtape thing goes well. I'm not sure I'll be able to do this one in time, as I'm horrendously busy, but I really will try. I need to come up with a theme and tracklist this week, and record next Tuesday.

I put sealant round our bath tonight. It seemed to go moderately well, which is good because me and DIY are not exactly best of friends.

Danny Himself 11.14.2006 06:23 PM

Ah, DIY. My nemesis also. Once I had to assemble some furniture and it didn't go well.

I am excited about the new tapes swap. I may include christmas letters as an added bonus.

Hip Priest 11.14.2006 06:25 PM

That's a very nice thought.

I put a coat rack up a couple of years ago, and it's still there, solid as a rock. Not sure how I managed that.

Danny Himself 11.14.2006 06:30 PM

Cool. There's still an Ikea desk at my mothers house I assembled a year or so ago.

Hip Priest 11.14.2006 06:33 PM

Well done. Little victories like that are always nice.

schizophrenicroom 11.14.2006 06:56 PM

my 'net is still down at home.

hope all is well

danny! congrats on 2,000.
TOUCH ME I'M SICK! i heart you.

k-krack 11.14.2006 07:01 PM

All's well, dear. Thanks frr askin'.

I bought Cursive's The Ugly Organ today, and I opened it... and there was this massive crack in the middle of the disc!!! (tears) It affected the first three tracks... so I was super upset (fantastic album...). I brought it back, in return for Cursive's newer album, Happy Hollow. Though it is fantastic, it doesn't have Art is Hard or Herald! Frankenstein, or Bloody Murderer on it... ahh well, I'll get The Ugly Organ soon.

Hip Priest 11.14.2006 07:07 PM

Hello Jade. Sorry to hear about your internet situation.

Hello Steve. Sorry to hear about your ugly organ situation.

k-krack 11.14.2006 07:34 PM

Thanks, man. It means alot.
I also bought some new headphones (my left headphone broke off without warning...) and the Charlie Brown holiday special box set*!

*(which comes with a Peanuts blow-up chair!)

Hip Priest 11.14.2006 07:39 PM

I bought all three Sisters of Mercy LP's on CD today, because they've been reissued in splendid style.

The last DVD's we bought were all seven series of On the Buses (late 1960's/early 1970's English sitcom). We've been enjoying them, and so far we're up to half-way through series four.

Hip Priest 11.15.2006 06:22 PM

Danny Himself 11.15.2006 06:25 PM

The world is a better place with Joel around.

finding nobody 11.15.2006 06:30 PM

static-harmony 11.15.2006 06:31 PM

Hip Priest 11.15.2006 06:52 PM

Welcome back.

Are things going well?

finding nobody 11.15.2006 07:04 PM
