Hello, everyone... Buzzo, Hip, Lucy.

finding nobody 11.29.2006 06:06 PM

Hey krack, preist
Sabastian, I wanted to tell you, I downloaded Live At The Witch Trials by The Fall last night and I love it! Gonna order it some time

Hip Priest 11.29.2006 06:07 PM

That's cool. I like The Fall best from 1986 (Bend Sinister) onwards. My favourite of the earlier LPs is Room to Live (Undilutable Slang Truth).

schizophrenicroom 11.29.2006 07:09 PM

hello all.

yes! bend sinister. that's my favorite.

Hip Priest 11.29.2006 07:24 PM

Hello Jade.

I would place it in the top three, along with The Unutterable and The Infotainment Scan.

Hip Priest 11.29.2006 07:26 PM

Jade: your signiature always reminds of the Chemical Brothers' Electrobank video. I wonder if you know it?

Inhuman 11.29.2006 07:50 PM

hey! How's everyone doing? I'm at school, and it's 7:45 at night. We ordered pizza's to get stuff done since the semester ends really soon. We're finishing up a web project that's taking a long time, but the others just had some hash so they're doing absolutely nothing and can't focus!

Well I'm going home, take care!

Hip Priest 11.29.2006 07:56 PM

Bye bye.

It's 00:50 here. I had gone to bed but couldn't relax, so I'm up again.

When we order pizza, I like to get the breaded mushrooms and jalapeno peppers too. Mmmm.

static-harmony 11.29.2006 08:40 PM

I want pizza haven't had it in a while.

Nice, we ordered 4 X-Large today and one of them was mexican withhot peppers. It was delicious beyond Porkmarras' 20,000 posts dreams.

finding nobody 11.29.2006 09:46 PM

I see you been listening to Meat Puppets II. A classic

schizophrenicroom 11.29.2006 10:22 PM

i usually get pineapple, jalapenos, mushrooms, and red peppers. it's delicious.

They are fantastic. I remember in one of the Olympics there was a five-strong women's team, and this one woman has two of the hula-hoop type things (I'm sure there's a technical name for them), with three footballs (?!) balanced kind of inside them (this description is dreadful). She does all this tumbling, as do the others, then throws the whole lot up in the air. The two ring, and two of the balls, head straight to the various points where her team-mates are tumbling to (and are duly caught), and the final football ends where the first woman is tumbling to. It was absolutely ridiculous that something so skilful could be done, and if I didn't know better I'd suspect computer trickery of some kind.

Off to work soon...

Hip Priest 11.30.2006 04:34 AM

...but before I go, I'll leave you with this recently-patented idea by Sony:

Sony's Tokyo research lab has found a way to connect headphones to portable music and video players without the need for fiddly wiring. They simply feed an audio signal straight through the listener's body.

Existing wireless headphones use Bluetooth radio, but this means pairing two devices beforehand and is prone to interference from other equipment. Another approach – infra-red – relies on line-of-sight, which is rarely practical.

The new system uses the listener's body as a capacitor that carries a tiny electrostatic charge. A music or video player sends a fluctuating signal to a conductive cloth pad – such as a wrist band – and this slightly charges the wearer's body. A pair of conductive ear pads in the headphones pick-up the signal and rapidly convert it back into sound.

Just a few millionths of an amp flow through the wearer's body, so there should be no nasty tingling effect. To convert the small charge into good quality audio, Sony uses a high frequency signal, which is digitally switched to carry data at 48 kilobytes per second. This is enough to deliver good quality, body-rocking stereo, the company says.

king_buzzo 11.30.2006 11:30 AM

Danny Himself 11.30.2006 12:00 PM

Hip Priest 11.30.2006 05:59 PM
