Any time I see anyone expousing the idea of voting, my head always hears them saying "vote liberal". I can't help but think that the GOP voters are already dedicated and committed to getting out and voting for their party, and it's the democrat side that needs reminded.

Yes! As someone who has canvassed a bunch and has seen the inner workings of a campaign, getting Dems out to vote is the biggest challenge. Persuading undecideds comes second.

I walked through the tunnel from 8th Ave/port authority to times square twice tonite, there were lots of cops around and lots of scientologists recruiting. I couldn't see any sign of the explosion. I realized this is the tunnel I hate, it is full block long and then you have to go up a long flight of stairs to the Times Sq station and then back down some more to the Broadway line...There are unusual numbers of cops out on the streets. Machine gun cops are scattered in pairs. Metalstorm droids are deployed and ready.
