I have internet again after almost a week without it. Relocated to a new neighborhood 2 states away and the cable/phone companies won't run cable/highspeed lines until 10 houses in the neighborhood have sold, 9 have sold so far. So, I had to get a Verizon broadband usb card to use the internet. 5 GB a month limit, no downloading for me :(

Today I'm dealing with a spouse's ire. She believes I don't work as hard as she does because I work at home. She doesn't believe I put in better than 40 hours like she does. She's no doubt absolutely right. I've heard this is a cause of friction in marriages where one partner is a freelancer, but it's the first time I've experienced it in our house. She was invited to our friends' place for an afternoon around the pool, and she commanded me to stay home and work. So here I am. How pathetic am I. All work and no play shall gmku make quite dull. Or duller than I already am. I'm living the dream.

On a brighter note, I picked up some nice clothes in Charleston yesterday at the outlet mall. Some Banana Republic chinos, linen shirts, linen shorts, and a classic polo--all very age-appropriate, though nicely slim, I might add--and at the Levis store, a pair of Levis 501s in raw denim, shrink to fit. Gonna do the soak-while-wearing-the-jeans thing in the bath tub tomorrow (when I'm supposed to be working).
