Have you heard the new mv & pg6 supergroup Wet Tuna? https://wettuna.bandcamp.com/ |
Apocalypse Fetish by Lou Barlow
this was released on October 28, 2016, how could I not know until now? |
to answer my own question:
probably becaseu it isn't that good of an EP ... anyway, Rivulets aka Nathan Amundson released a new track on his bandcamp: We'll Be the Last Ones Here and this one I do like. Sounds like something that Alan Sparhawk or Neil Young could do solo. Remember Arc? |
loved these french sonic rip debut album, mainly due to the lack of real stuff, now 3 years later finally a new album:

is it just me or haven't they enabled the streaming of their albums? Anyway, here's some more French post-rock for you: https://oiseaux-tempete.bandcamp.com/ It features poetry vocals by GW Sok on some songs, who is the former lead singer of The Ex. And the last album also features Mondkopf amongst others including some musicians from Beirut. I actually saw them live last Thursday in Paris and they were excellent. I'll post review on one other thread later on. |

I don't wanna sound like a prejudiced dick — I haven't even clicked on that link yet, in fact. But, you know Soul Jazz Records' Punk 45 series? Vol. 1.- Punk 45: Kill The Hippies! Kill Yourself! The American Nation Destroys Its Young - Underground Punk In The United States Of America, 1973-1980 Vol. 2.- Punk 45: There Is No Such Thing As Society - Get A Job, Get A Car, Get A Bed, Get Drunk! Underground Punk And Post-Punk In The UK 1977-81 Vol. 3.- Punk 45: Sick On You! One Way Spit! After The Love & Before The Revolution - Proto-Punk 1970-77 Vol. 4.- Punk 45: Burn Rubber City Burn! Akron, Ohio: Punk And The Decline Of The Mid West 1975-80 Vol. 5.- Punk 45: Extermination Nights In The Sixth City! Cleveland, Ohio: Punk And The Decline Of The Mid West 1975-82 Vol. 6.- Punk 45: Chaos In The City Of Angels And Devils (Hollywood From X To Zero & Hardcore On The Beaches: Punk In Los Angeles 1977-81) I bought them all pretty much as soon as they were released. Then, however, they decided Vol. 7 would be... Les Punks: The French Connection (The First Wave Of French Punk 1977-80) And it is awful. :( I wish it weren't, but what can I tell ya. Apologies in advance to my friend Torn Curtain. :o |
you definitely should have clicked the link before you started rambling
Oiseaux-Tempête is NOT punk music, some tracks might feature the former singer of The Ex who might be called punk, but seriously they don't make punk music either. Or at least not anymore. It's post-rock that's heavily influenced by godspeed you black emperor and other Constellation Records acts. |

Dark Dark Dark have shared a new album on Bandcamp:
http://brightbrightbright.com/album/...are-recordings It's not really a new album though, it's the Tour CD they released in 2011. It consists of outtakes, live tunes and radio sessions. And the first track was recorded in Cologne, when they were the support act of LOW and of course I was there as well :). It's still a very nice album. I do wish they would start making music again, I don't think they still exist ... |
