for example: I am eschewing pouring myself another well-needed drink in favor of painting my loved-one's toenails.

(lol --- she can't reach them)

that said, I very rarely watch tv.

If you don't watch TV, it's likely that you'll see 300 of those images every day. Of course it doesn't turn people into rapists, but it creates an environment where sexual assault and rape are "naturalized".

"6% of college age men, slightly over 1 in 20, will admit to raping someone in anonymous surveys, as long as the word “rape” isn’t used in the description of the act."

"A lot of people accuse feminists of thinking that all men are rapists. That’s not true. But do you know who think all men are rapists? Rapists do.
They really do. In psychological study, the profiling, the studies, it comes out again and again.
Virtually all rapists genuinely believe that all men rape, and other men just keep it hushed up better. And more, these people who really are rapists are constantly reaffirmed in their belief about the rest of mankind being rapists like them by things like rape jokes, that dismiss and normalize the idea of rape."

This, what you said, is one of the most surreal things I have ever heard:

"the fact that people do strip away others from humanity for the sake of pleasure and play doesn't necessarily equates with sexism."

BECAUSE OMFG.
I would suggest this: (floaty, i think you'll appreciate this)

It's probably not ok to be in your office, for example, talking out loud about someone's ass when women are around.

I.e.: it's possible to find someone attractive without shouting at them as they walk down the street.

It's this whole thing about men having to do it constantly and publicly to each other to obtain reassurance about their masculinity that makes women feel shit.

I don't think it's too hard to understand...

...It is when one is absolutely bladdered mind. I must have misjudged the speaker and now i can't be arsed to sift through the video to find the quote. I've never done any of those things and am quite proud at having been alienated when spoken to this way previously. In my own town being masculine and requiring status is the be all and end all. See Geordie shore for reference.

Aw.
Is this it?

No, and I can't judge and that issue is very, very complex.
I just think it has nothing to do with saying to people that it's not cool to harrass women, to make them feel like they have to put up with being publicly objetified without having agreed to it etc.
Exactly because you what you said, really.

Perhaps there is a woman out there who'll tell you she enjoys cat callers. Does that men all other women have to put up with it because of the odd chance that one of them might take it as compliment?

We're not all the same and people don't know how we feel about things.
Whatever people do consensually in their private lives, I couldn't care less, it's not my business.

You are aware that for example in the aforementioned communities they do things that do just that, right? They're all sexists then.

It's not a taboo for me so I have no problem in saying it.

OMFG OMFG

pls

In fact I can't think of many things less dehumanizing and objectifying than S&M.
So I have no idea what you're on.

Maybe you're talking about foot fetish or something which it's totally OK because it's not constantly being used to naturalize violence and make people die of anorexia.

Also, you do realize talking about how we PUBLICLY deal with gender inequality has nothing to do with your bedroom?

And did you hear the song I sent? Because it's awesome.

I'm into robots, gentlebeing. I need movement, personality, and a SOUL.

at the mall, there's a shop called "Forever 21". inside this shop is a mannequin that has her shoulders slumped as if it's saying "do I really need to be here??".

as I was listening to this song, I kept having flashback of "her".

ROBOTS.
