finished rewatching all of "the wire" in september. it was an intense month and the show was very fitting. what a goddamn masterpiece of television. the best show ever, for me. nothing else holds a candle
i don't have a lot of situations letting me binge tv in october, can manage maybe 1 show a day, so i've been slowly catching up with high maintenance ![]() very good! most of it anyway, a couple of episodes have put me to sleep hahaha, but yeah i'd recommend once things are more settled i hope to start watching the premier league again... i've totally lost track of who is doing what |
There's a US version of Have I Got News For You. I think it's originally on CNN, but it's also aired on BBC
It's presented by Roy Wood Jr, who used to be on Daily Show. It's OK, but it could be much better if they spent more time discussing actual news topics, instead of gossiping about celebs that I have never heard about |
finished the last episode ever of Somebody Somewhere.
Fantastic. |

Watching it bit by bit with the Ms. We refer to it as "The horny vampire show". Quite amusing, great to just unwind. We're only at Season 2 though. Might take a while til we're getting through the rest. |
What We Do in the Shadows. Just fuckin KILLIN IT

Love The Wire, superb indeed ("conscience do cost..."), but maybe #2 or #3 for me. Twin Peaks is the greatest show of all time and on this issue there can be no debate. |

by which i mean, pfffffftttttttttttthht nah, come on. i'll debate regardless. even if i end up talking to myself twin peaks season 2? major fiasco even lynch agrees: https://www.slashfilm.com/817747/why...eaks-season-2/ and yes as a piece of lynch's dreams season 1 was great. lynch has fun dreams but does it explain the world? hell nah. nobody else has dared do that on television |

Apples and Oranges. It goes without saying, different moods dictate different tastes at different times. Which is why making lists is a pointless exercise that should be relegated to channel 5 and our corporate magazine overlords, so they can continue to tell us what we should be watching/listening/reading/wanking to. |
Twin Peaks is to TV as Rammstein is to music.

Watched two eps of the Dune Prophecy and FUCK if its not ponderous and meh

![]() Mr Bates vs the Post Office tells the true story of the British Post Office scandal, which saw numerous postmasters wrongly prosecuted between 1999 and 2015 for theft, false accounting, and/or fraud. I was so shocked I felt like throwing beer bottles towards my TV. |
After a week of some surprise medical visits, I decided to start a reviewing of Scrubs.
|
![]() Just finished my third (or so) rewatch with the Ms. She hadn't seen it before and was delighted. My fondness seems to grow even bigger with each watch. You can really tell it was a passion project. And such a wonderful oddity in its time as it is now. ![]() In turn, we've also started watching Cowboy Bebop, because it's a classic I haven't watched until now. Only a couple of episodes in, but I'm already loving the amazing art style, the slick eclectic 60s and 70s-inspired soundtrack and the humor. |
I'm now into season 3 of Scrubs.
|
Black Doves on Netflix. I spaced out quite a few times but it’s a solid show. They’ll probably bank on it to be a new banner title. Expect like 5 seasons to be teased and 3 to be released, tops. And expect it to take years.
|
The wife and I watched the 6 episodes of Black Doves.
I found it entertaining and tense. Much like Gangs of London. |
Finished season 5 of Scrubs, started season 1 of Buffy.
