Are you looking for herbal supplements as an alternative to coffee? I've never met anyone who switched out coffee for supplements successfully, although switching to tea or yerba mate really seems to work for many, you keep the 'mental' apsect going with the daily ritual/sesh/social part, as well as a smaller hit of caffiene/guarana.
Drinking plenty of water seems the easiest way to boost energy.
If you're not getting an energy boost from drinking coffee anymore just start holding in your pee, that'll give you some extra pep.

I've tried most of those herbal energy things. Basically, if you're not getting a buzz from coffee, you're addicted, like any junkie, and need to up your dose. Since I quit tabac 2 months ago my coffee intake has doubled and I need to drink more to keep awake. I'd suggest cleaning out your system - no caffeine - eating a high energy diet - unrefined and processed food, lots of raw veggie and clean proteins - with some whole food-based vitamins with lots of B's and get 8 hours of sleep regularly. Stay away from processed foods and intense sugars i.e., soda. LIke the other poster said most herbal things are ephedra or some variant of caffeinelike chemicals (guarana etc).

I'm tired today. I'm on coffee #3. I'll try and wait for 4 until after work...gotta stay awake for the Bark Haze set...I have some Tanzanian Peaberry at home which is supposed to have the most caffeine.
