Quick Summary: Many believe that schizotypal personality disorder represents mild schizophrenia. The disorder is characterized by odd forms of thinking and perceiving, and individuals with this disorder often seek isolation from others. They sometimes believe to have extra sensory ability or that unrelated events relate to them in some important way. They generally engage in eccentric behavior and have difficulty concentrating for long periods of time. Their speech is often over elaborate and difficult to follow. Symptoms of Schizotypal Personality Disorder:
None at this time. -------------------------- What is Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder? Quick Summary: While Obsessive-Compulsive personality disorder (OCDP) sounds similar in name to obsessive-compulsive anxiety disorder, the two are markedly different disorders. People with obsessive-compulsive personality disorder are overly focused on orderliness and perfection. Their need to do everything "right" often interferes with their productivity. They tend to get caught up in the details and miss the bigger picture. They set unreasonably high standards for themselves and others, and tend to be very critical of others when they do not live up to these high standards. They avoid working in teams, believing others to be too careless or incompetent. They avoid making decisions because they fear making mistakes and are rarely generous with their time or money. They often have difficulty expressing emotion. Symptoms of Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder:
The potential for improvement with treatment is better for obsessive-compulsive personality disorder than for other personality disorders. A combination of medication and therapy tends to yield positive results. |
apparently i have high tendencies towards being histrionic, narcisstic and schizotypal. i think this is a very generalised test and exaggerates the results. i suppose schizotypal i would agree with to a moderate extent..

that's a fun article.
i enjoy being weird. i just wish i didn't have little things like my stammer or clumsiness that make me seem too weird. |
I'm sure most artists and creative people have personality disorders.

Did anyone else notice the "now it's easier then ever to find love" or "Tickle" links. This test is ridiculous. Perhaps you can find someone now with a compatible disorder.

this reminds me of some joke i once heard:
a man goes to see a psychiatrist and says 'doctor i'm feeling really bad but i don't know if i'm just feeling down or if i'm really depressed.' the doctor answers: 'well we have this new test to see if you're really suffering from depression.' 'i'd like to do that!' 'then you're just feeling a bit down.' seriously, it sometimes worries me how often people say they're 'depressed' while they're just having a bad day. it's not the same! |

well i'm quite intelligent, have a good memory and association ability.. i also have some things that tend to go in the direction of an ocd, but it's not serious or anything. it just makes me seem a bit weird or crazy, which got me nominated for 'craziest person in class' this year. yay! |
