Since there is no "EP+6" possibility, I go for "Rock Action", although it's a tough call. I just simply love that album's sound, and the moment, when in "Take me somewhere nice" the drums come in, it belongs to my ever favourite moments in recorded music.

It sure does. My favourite is the Max Tundra mix on that one. |
I went for Young Team as it was the first one I heard, I was obsessed with Mogwai Fear Satan for a while, that re-mix Kevin Shields did was pretty cool. Next favorite would be Ten Rapid, I love the first 3 tracks.

Mr. Beast is a bit better than Happy Songs, but still has dull moments. Anyway, a couple of awesome tracks too (Auto Rock, Travel is Dangerous, Friend of the Night) |
Mr.Beast is pretty decent. Shorter (to an extent) songs and good sound.
some youtube clips of mr.beast tracks ( the "good sound" does not apply to these, obviously) friend of the night travel is dangerous glasgow mega snake |
I still love Mogwai anywai. They're one of my top 3 bands.

It's a shame they dont play any of rock action live anymore. 2 wrongs make 1 right would sound awesome. |

Funnily enough I'm in exactly the same boat. I still have pretty much every radio session they did, that I could find out about, in Europe, up until Rock Action. Pretty shocking obsessiveness, the last band I was properly like that with... but these days, I likes 'em, but I don't loves 'em like I used to. Mr Beast sound rubbish on stereos but awesome on headphones. I've noticed that a lot of people don't understand the difference between a headphone album and a stereo album. They should. Pesky bloomin' mp3s. |
Ten Rapid for me.
