go for it. i approached him at a bark haze show in easthampton and he was super coo,. he just sat on the stage and hung out so i came up introduced myself and gave him my album. he never got back to me, but he took it and was really nice. and he just hung out in the crowd all night.
i a whole long post about that once, ill find it so you can get an idea what its like to meet him at his show :-)
