I guess my dream would be to play in a Glenn Branca guitar ensemble. That would be awesome.

whorefrost 05.14.2007 10:59 AM

for sheer catharsis maybe early Black Dice (guitar).. or Whitehouse (vocals)...

playing guitar in the Dead C would be superb as well.. they seem to have a pretty loose, laid back approach, real free, yet they consistently come out with interesting, engaging records..

Free Kitten

They may not be very popular or well known, but I liked the final lineup a lot, and would have gladly joined in on guitar.

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 05.15.2007 01:33 AM

FUGAZI

Because any other band I'd probably end up dying from being in.

And then I could fulfill my bicurious guy picciotto fantasies.

demonrail666 05.15.2007 02:47 AM

Action Swingers
Pussy Galore
REALLY early White Zombie. Like at their still just rehearsing stage.

I would have to agree with Whitehouse. That would be incredable

I'd like to say the same thing - that i can make my own kind of legend or whatever but i'd say it were an iffy foundation. What's the band by the way? It might be probable that i run into you sometime.

_slavo_ 05.15.2007 06:47 AM

Labradford.

Or GY!BE cca 1998.

jimbrim 05.15.2007 06:53 AM

Being in Animal Collective seems quite fun, or early Swell Maps.

auto-aim 05.15.2007 07:32 AM

Serioudly though, the jackson 5. Those beatings would keep me on my toes.

Rob Instigator 05.15.2007 08:53 AM

Great question

I would say two bands. I would love it, if I was an instrumental virtuoso, to play guitar in Phish. When they were together they played two sets a night (one hour set and a 2 hour set, no opening band) and they never played the same setlist, nor even played the same song the same way twice. It would have been a musician's dream.

Other than that I would have loved loved loved to have been a GODDAMN MISFIT.
I would have played drums and been their permament drummer That would be fun as fuck.

No question - The Loveblobs.

No name yet, i'll announce it as soon as we have one. All welsh boardies can come along to the first gig:D

auto-aim do you have a band?

LDopa 05.15.2007 08:22 PM

Pavement. I'd sing (not saying that I'm in any way shape or form better than Malkmus, I just think It'd be fun.) Dinosaur Jr., as bassist. Or The Flaming Lips as a guitarist.

nomadicfollower 05.15.2007 08:45 PM

Misfits
Or maybe Sun City Girls

Savage Clone 05.15.2007 09:03 PM

Loop, Overhang Party or The Darkside.
Any of those would be great fun to play with.

drrrtyboots 05.15.2007 09:48 PM

Fushitsusha so I could have been in the prescence of the legend, playing beside him.

Indeed - though it's being held together by string. Clicking the link in my signature should take you there - I really want to get some proper recordings done. Also, I dont know where any of the open-mics are in cardiff anymore... Apart from buffalo - but a bunch of them have stopped indefinatly it seems though i haven't checked them out recently.

atsonicpark 05.17.2007 09:36 AM

definitely scissor shock.

HECKLER SPRAY 05.17.2007 10:15 AM

I'd play the drums for Pavement if they decided to reunite. I'm still waiting...
