It would have to be as a new band though. You couldn't use the SY name w/out Kim.

people gotta pay for the medical care as they age....

i honestly do not know how people came to believe that these bands are made up of great revolutionaries. when i send music links to my leftist foreign friends they spit on me for being an americanizing bastard. i tell them it's good music, but they will have none of it. at least they are consistent

anyway, on more of the "you are what you buy" praxis, see for example the following case:

Nothing wrong with wearing good quality jeans, if you can afford them. If the music you make is also great, even better. Just don't go on and on about 'revolutionary', 'radical', 'political' etc ideals when you are taking a simple garment to blah blah blah to the press because some hack needed something to write. That's not cool, is it? Nevermind the filthy commies not finding that cool. Thurston Moore, Henry Rollins, and Kim Gordon, for that matter, will never be taken seriously by actual revolutionaries. Enjoy their music, though, why not? Almost everyone loves music.

sure call it whatever, "youth" would sound funny today anyway, maybe tooth (long) still fits. but names aside... those 3 play great together

yeah it's not cool, it's of course involuntarily funny. but from that to breaking people's hearts it's too much of a leap at our age, i think. just let them have the money

i was looking at patti smith tickets the other day and they were like $500 lol. i love her, the ticket is not worth $500 to me, but i really wish her a sold out show with all my heart so she doesnt have to sleep in the subway again as she claimed https://youtu.be/RpREBg9iZcg?t=176 "papier" xD

almost. i used to know people who would religiously listen to cornelius cardew or folk music while abjuring stockhausen or wagner or rocknroll on a purely ideological basis. they aren't "filthy" though, just... faithful, i guess?

(ps i have read that mao had horrible personal hygiene though lol. myth or fact?)

Saw Patti in 2019. Visceral concert, absolutely great. I was standing against the fence, right in front of her, no-one between us. Fifty bucks.

again and again that is not the issue. whooosh

the question is if the artists deserve the money

does she deserve your $50? sure

does she deserve $3580 for one first row seat? i think so too

personally i wouldnt pay it, but if she can get it from someone she totally should, and would likely put it to good use

That's all fine; perhaps I didn't read the whole thread carefully, whatever. I'm talking about your overall 'tude, Mr. LOL. But I'm not starting a flame war here.
