atsonicpark 08.25.2007 07:51 AM

yeah dude, those riffs are ALWAYS in my head. especially the one in the verses, the dundle dundle dundle dun dun and then when the guitar gets all tough as fuck "DUN DUN DUNDUN DUNDUN DUN, DUN DUN DUNDUN DUNDUN DUN". fuck.

king_buzzo 08.25.2007 07:54 AM

yeah! the riff right after that verse I posted is epic. dudududududu duuiuuuuu

king_buzzo 08.25.2007 08:08 AM

MH also has awesome riffs, like Duel or Planes Over The Skyline (that wah riff is to cream for!!!)

atsonicpark 08.25.2007 08:14 AM

definitely one of the best bands to ever own 500 fx pedals.

king_buzzo 08.25.2007 09:12 AM

haha, I love that tone, man, its so clean but yet so overdriven...

Sheriff Rhys Chatham 08.25.2007 01:32 PM

I've actually never heard of them.
I'll check em' out for sure.

Torn Curtain 09.04.2007 03:45 AM

I've just got into them (thanks atsonicpark for the thread ) and I think Mezcal Head is better.

atsonicpark 09.04.2007 04:08 AM

i remember buying this the same day as 'just for a day' by slowdive and 'nevermind' by nirvana and my heart went to nevermind... this was way back in 1991.

actually this was a bit of a disappointment after those 3 wonderful ep's, but i haven't listened to this for years... maybe i should.

Wow, I had forgotten all about this band, Raise is great, I haven't heard anything else by them though, should I listen to their other stuff, like is it any good?

atsonicpark 04.05.2009 04:17 PM

You know, I like all their stuff to some degree, but Raise is the only one I put on. Mezcal Head is technically better but it's too long.

I believe the Manic Street Preachers said "we will always hate swervedriver more than we hate Hitler"

Why should i overcome this obstacle Mr Cooley?

Derek 04.05.2009 05:11 PM

Didn't they also say that Slowdive were worse than Hitler?

I guess they hate good music then.

Sounds like Ive been the perpetrator of indie mistaken identity...
let my previous remark be looked down upon with disdain for its inaccuracy

atsonicpark 04.05.2009 05:42 PM

Heh. Slowdive is in my top 10 favorite bands of all time.
