More like burnt out with superflous words used to describe either the same thing or the adding of one more bleep to create nothing new.

Rob Instigator 09.12.2007 04:45 PM

Those are classical musicians. Don't get me wrong, I know very well the importance that Opera has in music and all that, but I can't stomach it. It's only a matter of taste, I'm not denying its importance, because that would be foolish at best.

Savage Clone 09.12.2007 04:47 PM

Hippie jam band drum circle music is pretty bad.

jon boy 09.12.2007 04:56 PM

pop punk
emo
middle of the road fall asleep at the wheel indie ala travis, coldplay etc

MysticalChicken 09.12.2007 04:57 PM

1. Mainstream country (I specify "mainstream" because there are several alternative-country bands I like, e.g. Wilco, Old 97's, Son Volt, Drive-By Truckers)

2. Techno. Oh dear god I loathe techno with every fiber of my being.

3. Rap/R&B (although I do enjoy the Beastie Boys and Sage Francis).

4. Heavy metal (the kind where they just scream. My brother likes that kind of music and it drives me crazy).

5. Easy-listening, e.g. Yanni, John Denver, Enya

6. Teenybopper pop, e.g. Britney, Christina, N'Sync

k-krack 09.12.2007 05:12 PM

Dude above me, I'm sorry to say, but Tegan + Sara means yr in no position to judge!

I rememberd some... reggae/reggae tone/whatever you want to call it... Fuck it all sounds the same.

modern "R&B"... just lame. People like "George," "Masari," "Sean Desmon..." "T-Pain"... Someone please shoot these assholes.

I fucking rememebred, then forgot again, the other major one...

2. So... wait. If I like SY then I can't like Tegan & Sara? WTF? I like a lot of bands.

3. Judge what, exactly?

Pax Americana 09.12.2007 06:29 PM

1. I'm very proud of ya. That doesn't changer the fact that I call people "dude," regardless of sex.

2. No, you just shouldn't. It was a joke, at any rate, but they totally suck, maaaaan.

3. Judge everything. Again, it was a joke. So, go ahead and judge.

And SuchFriends (knew it was coming), I dare you to find me one reggae song that doesn't sound exactly like another reggae song.
Here's the template, to my understanding:
Steel drum intro
Guitars commence *chk. chk. chk. chk. chk. for the entire song, sometimews with a bit of delay or reverb.
Organ and/or synth plays a couple chords, swelling always.
etc.
I just find it a terribly boring and predictable genre, I'm not trying to offend.

your sarcasm is amusing but your ignorance does not seem to be blissful, thats a shame.

k-krack 09.12.2007 09:57 PM

I wouldn't say ignorance, seeing as it's a prtty apt description, and I have listened to my fair share of reggae music, enough to pass judgment anyways.
And I'm definitely not blissful, bang on with that one.
