Is Spiderland much better?

Spiderland is waaaaaaaaay different.

Nicfit, you probably know this, but that song you like on the ep is also on tweez...

Albini's records don't "sound the same" unless you mean "a very good recording where you can hear every instrument perfectly".

Back to tweez: great album, love the overused harmonics. The whole album just sounds like it's about to fall apart. Great.

im gonna have to give tweez another spin out. i always thought it as mediocre with dashes of brilliance.

yep, "rhoda", but, you probably know this too, those 2 versions are REALLY different, different sounds, different lenght, (no coda, no shouting on tweez :p) , the one on the ep is amazing, like 10 levels more powerful.

it does have some wanky parts, but overall it's a very good album. Love the poster that comes along with the lp.

nowhere near the rest of their output.

I love Tweez, Carol and Darlene are my favorites but Glenn is still the mightiest song they ever wrote imo. That 10" is just brilliance.

I was listening to the first cerberus shoal record tonight, and they had a very slint-like sound when they started (later on, they got really weird and much better), but what really was interesting was something similiar to what I liked about tweez... tons of the riffs were just harmonics! Nothing else! I know the band Gaji does shit like that: mixing octave, pinch, and regular harmonics to make riffs.. does anyone else have any "harmonic reccomendations", aka bands that mainly/only use harmonics to make riffs? Because that would be pretty interesting..
