Sisters of Mercy, please. I'd probably wee myself with excitement if they did a Don't Look Back of "First and Last and Always".

Weren't they touring only a couple of years ago or more recently? I'm dead sure that they were on the bill of one of those summer festivals that are generally played by bands like The Mission etc. The sort of festival nobody in the right mind likes going to. |

Oh, yeah, I'd also like to see Bitch Magnet play, if anyone could arrange it.

I think bands usually break up for the right reasons, and therefore I don't see much point in reunions or whatever usually... only one band i can think of, though, that I'd LOVE to see get back together: captain beefheart. not "The magic band" (since they released an album and played some shows a few years ago), but captain beefheart himself WITH the magic band. The fact that they broke up immediately following their best album (and there's no bootlegs that I know of with "ice cream for crow" songs on it)... yeah.

I have seen them a couple of years ago. I was never too keen on them, but I came to appreciate them more. One note about Dead Can Dance: they are a pair of fascists. We went to the after show party and they barred everyone from smoking in the building. I didn't know that Silver Apples were still about, according to that racist turd. I'd like to see them live. Abba could be good if they reformed for a while. I can't really get all that excited about reunions, even if I try. One of the worst that I went to was The Velvet Underground. They were truly terrible. Death In June, on the other hand, were quite good when I've seen them live. |

I've seen them supporting Depeche Mode - a truly awful experience indeed. |
Well, yeah, I saw them about ten years ago and it was pretty poor. That's why I want a "proper" SoM.
Maybe what I want is a time machine set to take me back to 1984. |
I faintly know the Sisters Of Mercy's current tour guitarist.
Nefeli - I don't know what I'm talking about. Whatever you want to impute is fine by me. I'm tempted to list a load of bands from my teenhood, but they may disappoint the adult me. Although I'm sure that wouldn't apply to Prolapse. |
Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Cibo Matto are excellent choices. Keep in mind that Yuka Honda and Miho Hatori both do solo projects, and they're great. If you haven't, check out "Smokey & Miho". It's Miho and a guitarist doing covers of Brazilian Folk songs

Yeah you're right (the album was Venus Luxure No1 Baby), but I meant, new album =( anyway in an interview in the french magazine Noise, one of the member (can't remember who) said they weren't planning any new album at all... |
godheadsilo reforming would be okay, but enemy mine were better ...
|
the cows should have never broken up.
syrfox: that's the album i posted but then doubted about myself for a bit and just plain said i didn't remember which one. never saw the big fuss about godheadsilo, they were ok but nothing special. |
there lies the crux of the biscuit!
