I think songs like Plastic Sun and Mariah Carey sound more out of place to me,.. but both are still great songs and good breaks from the 7+minute guitar sprawls.

I agree with flux=rad... "Mariah" isn't THAT weird, but "Plastic" I've always felt was waaaay outta place on MURRAY ST. It would've made more sense as a b-side than an album track in '02.

I also agree with that, sometimes I'm not in the mood for the sudden shift to 'plastic sun'.
I like 'little trouble girl' after you've unwound though, very carming song.

"Plastic Sun" should've been the second track on Murray Street (and they should've left the "Britney Spear" lyric). Hey, I'm just sayin'...

hey not a bad idea.. Never thought about the song sequence on Murray Street like that.. maybe I'll give it a shot.

They also should have done a quiet section at the end of the solo on 'Incinerate' and jammed that bitch to the rafters... seriously.

I don't think it's a bad song at all, and don't think they should take it out... I just think it's... different. It really sticks out, not saying that's a good or bad thing. Definitely a contrast to the other side-ender...
