Jehu > Snakes.

But still. Hot Snakes fucking rule.

atsonicpark 02.12.2008 12:48 PM

yeah, hot snakes are amazing.

jehu's a LITTLE better but not by much.

sarramkrop 02.12.2008 12:56 PM

Diamanda Galas eats all the ones mentioned above effortlessly. She can do anger, sadness and any other emotion all at the same time. Loudly.

sarramkrop 02.12.2008 01:04 PM

Desolate voice par excellence: Roy Harper.

batreleaser 02.12.2008 01:15 PM

lou reed can do both, hes really sad on the velvets s/t, especially pale blue eyes, and also his solo stuff like berlin, rock n roll animal, etc... his angry is usually done in an ultra masculine nihilistic sorta way.

gpw_sucks 02.12.2008 01:24 PM

angry:

Ian Mackay
Kurt Cobain

Trasher02 02.12.2008 03:27 PM

Ian Curtis

Lou Reed
Iggy Pop
Jamie Curtis

Tom Verlaine

joe strummer's anger on london calling is still unsurpassed in my book
it's executed perfectly.

Everyneurotic 02.12.2008 05:45 PM

anger in london calling? where?

Cantankerous 02.12.2008 05:55 PM

in the song, his voice is seething. it's not out of control or ferocious. which is good.

Crumb's Crunchy Delights 02.12.2008 05:56 PM

i think he might mean london's burning

Everyneurotic 02.12.2008 05:56 PM

ah, agreed. i thought the album in general.

the first one is angrier.

Cantankerous 02.12.2008 06:01 PM

Crumb's Crunchy Delights 02.12.2008 06:03 PM
