naaah, different bars set their jukes at different money amounts.
I do not go to bars too much and everyone I have used (jukeboxes) are at a place I never have been to before.

In Houston Texas if a band is playing it is a CONCERT, whether it is a small bar or a pub or a dive club. bar bands are found ony in shitty fucking honky tonks or the kind of bars that fucking losers go to.

i took this for you last night. not internet, but only cd. but good cds. although they play wayyyyyy too much pixies for my liking.

"Bar Bands," as in jobbers-playing-crappy-electric-blooze-music bands, are awful, and deserve to be replaced by a jukebox. I really don't need to hear yet another hackneyed version of "Train Kept A-Rollin" or "I Got My Mojo Workin." No one does.
And there is no bar I know of that has live music playing every single moment of the hours they are open. Some bars don't have live music at all.
That being said, I really don't go to bars unless I'm seeing some live music. Hanging out isn't really my bag.

jukeboxes in bars... they are called barmaids with these...

unfortunately, it's bully proof - or rather always on bartenders-are-cooler-than-patrons mode. but since at this place, that's usually true, i don't mind much.

There's a pub around here with one of jukeboxes that allow you to download stuff. Pretty cool.

last time i used one of those internet jukeboxes i played slayer and it got skipped. i asked for my money back and the barman was a real dick about it.
