Loving the new album. Seeing them in NYC on March 4th. Does anyone have any idea if they still play full albums like Flood or Feedbacker live?

They've made a video for Statement, but it's for the version that's on the Southern Lord 7", which is different to the one that's on the Diwphalanx CD release for Smile. God knows what version will be on the Southern Lord CD release... or the vinyl release... or the 2LP box set... or whatever else they come up with this time.

Wow, that song is strangely mellow for Boris.

They were bloody marvellous last night. Michio Kurihara played with them (well, I'm guessing it was him), giving an extra layer of goodness. Quite a lot of "Smile" material played, but much much better live than on record. Lots and lots and lots of merchandise (including a well cool black hoodie with silver print) if I'd wanted to splash the cash, but I didn't. Bloody marvellous. Bloody marvellous, I say.

new album's pretty average. Boris seem very inconsistent to me, Feedbacker is a great record, as is Amplifier Worship, but everything else I've heard hasn't been too great.

wat u on? boris have been putting out consistently good shit for over 4 years now (and we know how heavy their output has been). even their mediocre shit is really good.

this album isn't mediocre, though. it's awesome.

you want bad boris? get their cover of i am the walrus or their split with stupid babies go mad. that's bad boris.

most of their stuff is either great or genius, granted, smile is great not genius but you can't say that of many rock bands right now.
