I personally love it, but I could easily see why someone wouldn't.

I don't like to think of myself as a fan of the band, but I think it's interesting to dig the album out now and then.

I like Holland, 1945, but other than that, I don't like NMH at all.

they are about the only ones on Elephant6 that I can't stand.

I prefer The Olivia Tremor Control on the whole as far as Elephant 6 bands are concerned.

It's good, but not worthy of the hype it gets. Love "Oh Comely" and "Two-Headed Boy". Avery Island is a bout a million times better. Not sure of the straight-up hate on here, NMH is about a million times better than some of that "freak psych new weird folk" shit you cats dig....

Yeah I don't really dig his voice. It's too "new indie" for my liking. Bring back the days of Frank Black and Steve Malkmus style singing, people!
Imperfection is perfection in that sense.

It's one of my favorite albums, how indie-cliche. But it goes like this: people who like them usually REALLY like them, people who don't hate them.
