Koss Porta pro, hm?

al shabbray 08.25.2008 08:08 AM

yes they sound great. but I think I will go for in ears while walking around, I made the experience that my hair is to big for such kind of headphones

floatingslowly 08.25.2008 08:59 AM

Ich liebe meine Sennheisers.

<--- wracked with disappointment.

sennheisers are great, but most of the time I prefer akgs when it comes to full headphones, but I think I will check the sennheiser cx300. sounds pretty good in the reviews

floatingslowly 08.25.2008 09:36 AM

mine weren't very expensive and sound awesome.

then again, almost anything would sound better than iPod earbuds (which I still use and love).

al shabbray 08.25.2008 10:05 AM

I hate that earbuds from the ipod, they do not isolate a fuck...

Sonic Youth 37 08.25.2008 01:37 PM

These.

Philips In-ear surround headphones. Can be had for $15-20 here. Great bass and great sound. The only issue is they tend to mess up after 2 years of constant use. I'm on my 3rd pair, probably going to buy a 4th soon as backup.

I also have Bose in-ear that were $100, but they're a little too heavy and expensive for my usual usage.

al shabbray 08.25.2008 01:49 PM

ive made a decision a hour ago, I bought these:

AKG K324P

and I am blasted to heaven right now. its like being born again sonic-wise!
the bass is incredible but pretty clear, even if you dont use equalizer settings, the bass goes really really low (not too loud, there is just ALL the bass what have been recorded) the highs are brilliant (not shrill, absolutely not, best highs ever heard on in ears, til yet) and the mids are comforting neutral, ot shrill at all. the are soundin ace on beat driven-electronic music and they are sounding ace on guitar driven music (which was a problem with al the headphones Ive ever had, only one genre would be supported really good)
it was the right decision, 40 euros well spent. I can only recommend them!!!

acousticrock87 08.25.2008 01:51 PM

Well it appears it's too late, but I finally found the name of the ones I have: these. Creative EP-630. $20-$30.

Derek 08.25.2008 01:57 PM

Worst headphones ever are the iPod headphones.

acousticrock87 08.25.2008 01:59 PM

Haha I use the iPod headphones when I want to still be able to hear someone knocking on my door or something.

al shabbray 08.25.2008 02:01 PM

holy shit there are even frequencies in some tracks I hadnt known that they exist :)

cant stop listening, its like everything sounds different, better!

I like the isolation of those semi-in ear ones, and I hate these old school earbuds which got absolutely no isolation.
and no, I do not got 1000 bucks for some ultimate ear in ears.

do you want headphones or earbuds?

oh, too fucking late.

al shabbray 08.25.2008 02:07 PM

I wanted in-ear buds :)

!@#$%! 08.25.2008 02:14 PM

hey youre in germany no?

when youre ready for real headphones check out sennheiser or AKG (this one's austrian). you should be able to pay less than the rest of us-- or no?

the germans/austrians seem to be really good when it comes to audio monitoring

i thought you bought a pair of creatives, for some reason

anyway, im talking about REAL headphones w/ cushion around the ears-- try those-- they are yummy and don't get all shitty with wax ha ha ah

al shabbray 08.25.2008 02:33 PM

yeah I know, but I dont like them for mobile listening, cause (Ive said that too :)) my hair is too "big" for them, afterwards I look like someone whos woken up recently...
and yeah, try the AKG K701 I think they are the realest headphones you can get!! (will definately buy them sometime for ultimate audio pleasure at home)

Trama 05.04.2013 07:44 AM

I'd like something bomb proof. My earphones get a lot of abuse, I go trough a pair every six months or so. Any recommendations?

Edit: preferably w/ built-in mic and volume control.

Trama 05.04.2013 10:16 AM

Anything like Panasonic's RP-HJE900?

They were discontinued, can't find them anywhere.
