People would tell me for years to buy LOVELESS. "YOU'LL totally love it. It's so YOU." And for some reason recomendations like that rub me the wrong way. So I put them off for quite a long time. But yeah, LOVELESS kills it.

Interesting thread. I've bought my first album by The Fall only about 7 years ago, and I had known them forever.

Kraftwerk: believe the hype.

I'd known about These Immortal Souls for awhile, because of the Birthday Party, but I only listened to them recently.

pussy galore

i despise john spencer so i kinda ignored them. even though royal trux and to live and shave in la are two of my all time favorites. then a friendf lent me 'dial m for motherfucker' to prove what an idiot i am, now i love pussy galore just as much if not more than the aforementioned bands. i mean, a deskonstruktionist lo fo noise blues rock band, thats like, what i envision rock is supposed to be like.
