I would definitely agree with the Trekkie comparison... also a lot of the people into S+M that I have met tend to talk about their sexual exploits ad infinitum to such a trainspotterish degree that all of the so called danger and outlandish thrills are neutered... in the end it's just the same as discussing the making of a nice cup of tea.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Trasher02 again.

Shit.

s/m is pleasure through pain, not about inflincting torture & death
you don't need the whole trekkie outfit, just a little sense of adventure.
some people get off on the pain & humiliation, some people get off on dishing it out.

the whole experience is supposed to be safe however. destroying someone's organs or psyche is NOT s/m.

S&M stands for Sadism and Masochism; nowadays, it's extended to BDSM, which is Bondage, Domination, Sadism & Masochism. !"£$% 's right, although an excessive Sadistic impulse can lead to getting turned on by being a total bastard to someone. Generally, there's nice little codes and protocols which mean that people involved in a BDSM relationship don't ever go beyond what their partner(s) are comfortable with.

Explaining one persons pecadilloes is pretty pointless... I don't get off on feet, but an awful lot of people do. Horses for courses is the best way to deal with the whole thing.

Often, BDSM relationships are more rigorous in the thresholds, meaning that BDSM relationships are usually 'safer' than 'conventional' sexual relationships - by dint of the incredible amount of communication that goes on.

I'm not into BDSM in a big way, I'm a very low level masochist, but I don't like the idea that people put one medium of sexual expression over another... whatever floats your boat is the order of the day.

Hey, why not try getting nails hammered into your Johnson? You just might like it...

a friend of mine is very interested in this kind of thing. He has never practised, though, due to never have had any sexual contact. Once I joined him to the "SM Cafe" and there were middle aged people talking about the greens (party). Well, actually I don't know what i should have expected else.

Once i was in an exhibition on SM. There were pictures of nails, wales and weights in combination with dicks and vaginas, that physically hurted me. Not my kind of thing, i guess.

i used to go out with a girl who was quite masochistic, even though i kind of enjoyed being sadistic i still felt a bit weird about it.

Yeah, you're to much of a pretty boy to hide your face.
Go back to wearing those silly outfits you tried to impress us all with on the other thread.
