i suppose they are allcollaboreations yes, but the ones when two musician who are known for something else and cme togethr to crete a sort of temporary thing is more thought of as yknow, a collab.
i havnt even though of all the great jazz collabs until now: miles/coltrane bill dixon/anthny braxton derek bailey/peter brotzzman coltrane/mingus ayler/sanders albert and don ayler rasied ali and ayler miles and mclaughlin brotzzman/sharrock sanders/sharrock bailey/sharrock thelonious/coltrane damn, so many. i like obsessing over jazz. |
also ellington/coltrane
|
oh shit, two more recent and afuckingmazing ones:
wolf eyes/smegma=the beast wolf eyes/anthony braxton collabs that if possble, im sure would be amazing: black flag/gang wizard harry pussy/teenage jesus and the jerks to live and shave in la/magma a frames/devo the hospitas/the velvet underground/royal trux tangerine dream/emeralds amon duul/pengo the butthole surfers/slicing grandpa motorhead/lightning bolt ornette coleman/slayer half japanese/home blitz sightings w/ jad fair hmm, the posibilities. im so stoned right now. |

Yes, this was very good one. The Low & The Dirty Three and Motorpsycho & Jaga jazzist "fishtanks" are also really good personal favorite: ![]() |
