I have to figure out a good solution for coffee while camping. I've got a french press but it is a real PITA to clean. Drip takes too long and labor intensive.

why so hard to clean yr french press? I've always found them super easy. boiling water, shake shake, rinse, done! If the metal filter gets oily film just give it a wipe/polish with a clean cloth after it's dry.

you could try buying those silk/paper tea bags and putting your coffee in there before you use it in the FP, just for when yr camping so you dont have to deal with grounds. ?
