yeah this guy has the right idea we should all try to make something new, like, you know, what sonic youth do man. this is definitly what music needs right now more people making this decision it will result in a golden age of creativity the likes of which we have never seen before.

Maybe at this point someone like Beyonce having a hit song with absolutely no bass in it is more innovative than Sonic Youth pulling of the alternate tuning for guitar trick again and again and again. However you still admire Sonic Youth and, as I suppose, despise Beyonce. Why is that?

I don't really see your point. Are you saying that I have to have a real wide musical taste before I can bag on shitty mainstream pop bands? As far as I'm concerned, liking the Beatles or the stones exclusively is enough for one to criticise any of the lame electro-pop artists mentioned in this thread.
