Yes - TNT Post charges through the nose, but Holland -> USA is often faaaast.

Did you send the 7" out yet? Still haven't found Whores Moaning.

noisereductions 07.06.2010 04:49 PM

I haven't had a chance to get the 7" out yet, sorry. I need to dig it out. Will keep ya posted.

Where are you located, Brennschluss?

Yes, you sent me googling with that final quote! Congratulations.

So you're in Holland--or The Netherlands (never did understand exactly why the country appears to have two names)--I presume. You have some pretty nice stuff up for grabs there. How does your local bank feel about Canadian cash? (I've managed to avoid credit cards for 41 years--I don't intend to adopt such a potentially dangerous habit at this stage in the game!) I'm not sure if Canadian international postal orders are applicable to Holland. I know they're exchangeable in the UK, but not Germany--I remember sending a load of Canadian cash over there to pay for a Sonic Youth record once upon a time, come to think of it. Some nice stuff you have there, whatever the case....

I'm a bit apprehensive about people sending cash in the mail - would you be willing to send a check (or is that "cheque"?) to a Canadian friend? He can then PayPal me the money....anyway, drop me a line at rappard [at] dds [dot] nl / rappard [at] gmail [dot] com with your wants, and we'll go from there.

Has "Cracklin Oat Bran" been torrented recently? I don't always catch 'em all... I had a CD-R of that and it has an abysmal mix...but I'd be curious to hear it again.

I was at Amoeba (LA) today and saw Kali Yug Express EP up on the wall for $70, first time I had seen one. Want, but cannot do that much on it myself. Anyone?

That's ridiculous for just three tracks (two of which are available elsewhere). If you just want the music, I nabbed the Geffen promo from what.cd - quick copy/paste of the description from that site:

When "Murray Street" was released in North America, it was an enhanced disc with a link to a "secret site" on sonicyouth.com where these 3 tracks could be downloaded in mp3 format.
A promotional CD compilation featuring this EP as well as tracks from SY's pre-Geffen 80s days was also released, entitled "Kali Yug Express (+ More)".
