Glitch isn't new enough to be 'in' and it certainly isn't old enough to be vintage. Boring.

Savage Clone 08.25.2006 05:31 PM

I haven't really enjoyed much of this type of music.
Not my style.
Gave it a shot.

Oval... but I don't know the others, apart from Pole, which i've never listened to properly... Oval is great, though.

toxic johnny 08.26.2006 06:07 PM

Oval (Markus Popp) is pretty groovy... Phonecia and Richard Devine are also pretty cool too...

Toilet & Bowels 08.26.2006 06:29 PM

porkmarras 08.26.2006 06:35 PM

Toilet & Bowels 08.26.2006 06:39 PM

porkmarras 08.26.2006 06:41 PM

PAULYBEE2656 08.27.2006 04:03 AM

oval, pan sonic, disastronaut (is only ok) are worth checking out. its electronic music to play to people who like handbag techno. its the white metal of the dancefloor. its minimiklist but not in a silent way. its noisy but not in a loud way. its basically electronic music made by electricity and sounding like electricity. broken programs, scratched compact discs, faulty wiring, static shocks, its a genre worth investigating big time.

Pookie 08.27.2006 04:17 AM

Is the Raster-Noton stuff Glitchcore? I'm not getting hung up on labels, I've just never heard any of the bands listed and I'm trying to get an idea of what they sound like.

Pan-sonic I've heard though. They're pretty good. Is that typical?

atsonicpark 08.27.2006 07:10 AM

scissor shock, essential glitchcore.

atsonicpark 08.27.2006 07:12 AM

Anyway, my superglitchcore band is www.myspace.com/syrfdraken

Definitely check out oval.. autechre uses elements of glitch.. but the best cut-up fucked-up crazy IDM glitch etc thing is eight frozen modules..

sarramkrop 11.25.2008 02:51 AM

electro pookie

ZEROpumpkins 11.25.2008 03:49 AM

Pole isn't really glitchcore, but worth checking out.
Go for Venetian Snares's album Winter in the Belly of a Snake
Then buy everything Autechre have done post 1997 (but all their stuff is classic)

atsonicpark 11.25.2008 03:58 AM

Winter in the Belly of a Snake isn't really glitchcore to me, it's drill n bass... with some glitchiness, sure.

Anyway, I posted a HUGE list on a thread along time ago for syrfox, with like 50 artists. Seek it out. For my money, late period Autechre is the best around.
