You're welcome. Sorry I couldn't get to the Sunburned... gig at Cafe OTO the previous evening.

Hey! Where were you? You missed a great show, mista!

Finally met Aaron Mullan briefly (mailed him lots of times before) - pity I had to run to catch my train. He looks impressively youthful, like a child prodigy doing sound for Sonic Youth. :D And he was gracious enough to set up fellow boardie Tokolosh with a board patch, despite us arriving late(ish).

(I also taped the show, keep watching Dimeadozen.)

Did Toko videotape? I'm videotaping tonite's show in Ghent with a guy from De Vooruit. They're also going to make a soundboard recording.

He sure did!

Are you going to film for release on your label?

That's the idea. And maybe mix some stuff from Toko's footage.
the only thing is I'm not sure Thurston would be interested in a limited edition live dvdr. the release I did with Lee was a more personal release in an edition of 300.

We'll see what Thurston thinks. Did you get to talk to him?

No, had to run to catch my train. Only spoke to Carlos prior to the show and to Aaron after the show.

Tokolosh 12.13.2011 06:10 AM

Fantastic evening! Here are some stills I pulled out of the video.

Thanks a lot for organizing everything Rappard! Couldn't do it without you.
And Aaron for providing the soundboard recording. Sounds great, as always.

Good luck with the shoot tonight, Jef!

Jef Mertens 12.13.2011 06:51 AM

the stills look great!
We'll probably be shooting from the sidestages.
I hope it will work out.

Great stills Toko!
It's nice to see you talented people involved in "documenting" those performances. Hope we'll all get to watch/hear the results in a not so distant future (and I hope mr T will be interested in a nice and proper release of the material).

Cracking pictures, Tokolosh!

Thanks for all the awesome work, guys!

I would also love a DVD-R on Taping Policies.

Pity! So you were not even allowed to film? Or did you chose not to?

Sorry guys ...

Sad about this. But I appreciate your effort and intentions, nevertheless. And also of course, the excellence of your work and everyone's involved in all things released on Taping Policies, and despite the current scenario I hope that Sonic Youth 2004 DVD and a lot of your other projects find their way into a release in the future.
