Hell yes I'm sure it is!

By the way, my friend got a Hog this week. I will post my impressions on it when I play it more. It is pretty damn cool, with the expression features.

CHOUT 04.18.2006 02:47 AM

Holy fuck,
I was messing with the settings on the DD20 and I found what sounds exactly like a Ring Mod! It sounds so fucked and cool. I'm liking this more and more.

MXR Blue Box. It's the king of all pedals. 'Nuff said.

RIPfrey05 04.18.2006 01:26 PM

Im very contented with
1. Big muff (russian, old)
2. Interfax harmonic percolator
3. Electro harmonix stereo polychorus-THE SHITTTTTT!!!
4. Behringer acoustic simulator- noise
5. old Maestro wah

btw.. US MAPLE ROCKS MY SOCKS!!!!

next step 04.18.2006 02:21 PM

RIPfrey05 it wasnt a show gear thread, though...
otherwise you should buy a new screen to display mine in one shot!

RIPfrey05 04.18.2006 02:43 PM

the discussion was about Electroharmonix pedals.. i have one, i worte about it and the other pedals i have and like..cause others were dicussing which pedals "PWN".

next step 04.18.2006 02:50 PM

okay RIP but what means PWN ???

Lethrneck4 04.18.2006 03:00 PM

EH pedals rule! i have a small stone, small clone, big muff and im soon to be getting the Pulsar.....i gotta tell ya.. i think the small stone blows the MXR 90 away, the feature of the color switch on the small stone makes it better.MXR is almost weak sounding in comparison. i also tested the Pulsar agaisnt the Voodoo labs tremolo and it wasnt even close, the pulsar has waay more range and is almost half the price of the voodoo labs one. my buddy has a ton of EH pedals, and ive never heard one i was disappointed in

time ago I found a good webshop with many EH pedals, good stuff and good european prices.
It's italian and so could be more useful for italians anyway here the link:

Get your drummer to play along with a midi clicktrack and sync your 16 second delay up with that.

The 16 second delay looks a bit too cumbersome for me. I don't really see the point in doing sound on sound on sound. I'd much rather just have a simple loop as a background to play over.

I have a couple of setups... but right now i mostly go with this one:

-MXR phase 90 (modded) / (backup: vintage MXR Phase 100)
-dunlop hendrix octave fuzz (a bit fucked but has tons of gain)
-ProCo Rat / (backup: EH Hot Tubes)
-EH Russian Bigmuff reissue (modded for xtra gain and bass boost)
-Dunlop Original CryBaby Wah (modded for xtra gain boost in wah)

I did all my mods... i think the Hot Tubes may become the primary and the Rat my backup, yes it is that good... it has soo much gain without decay in actual "sound".

I also have a modded MXR blue box that i do not run thru my guitar setup as it detrementally adds an adverse effect on my guitar tone (specifically cuts out sustain) so i'm think this pedal needs repair. though i use it when i make noise w/ a toy megaphone (wired w/ a guitar cable) and/or contact mic.

CHOUT 04.21.2006 07:45 PM

Even though I posted this in the other pedal thread. I thought it would be appropriate to add my newest pedal: a 70's Small Stone (exactly like this one) that I found yesterday at Music Go Round for 50 bux! It sounds great.

CHOUT 04.22.2006 02:53 AM

Damn there's tons of Electro Harmonix stuff not made anymore. Like drum machines:

it doesn't need repair...to cut out sustain is a "feature" of this pedal...

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 04.22.2006 11:27 AM

The space drum looks cool. I've heard samples of it before, it sounds cool too!

Massenvernichtungswaffen 04.22.2006 07:26 PM

Damn lucky people. Where I live, you can't get them. Shitty deal. Although I did have a russian big muff, however it was stolen. Now I make due out of crappy danelectro pedals and what-not.

Massenvernichtungswaffen 04.22.2006 07:45 PM

fuck. look at my post count. ha ha. i guess those ol thousands are a long gone away.

holy-reverb!! 04.22.2006 08:51 PM

anyone play that new metal muff? i heard its nothing like the russian or NYC muffs. why place a pedal in a certain genre. most "metal" pedals sound cheap anyways.
