I'm trying, but I can't think of a 'lost' album. Maybe, 20 Jazz Funk Greats by TG? Thats always been my favorite but everyone else seems to hate it.

hot...on...the heels...of looooooooovvvvve

okay, i guess not completely lost. but for how great they are, i think they deserve more recognition than they get. I bet most people here have never heard those records, im talking most, not all. It's more of a british thing i think, im over here in america, and no one knows them really. and yeah, the later ones are a little too "jazz" for me. but the 3rd one is good still.

As for albums that I worship, but barely anyone seems to know.

Dis- - the historically troubled third album
Raymond brake - never work, ever
Crownhate ruin - Until the eagle grins
Dolomite - of the angels
ripping corpse - Dreaming of the dead
Motive - I vs the beckoning of darkness

probably more, but I cant really think right now

60s: Tim Buckley - Happy sad
70s: Tim Buckley - Starsailor

I don't understood why The Swirlies' Blonder Tongue Audio Baton doesn't get more love.

atsonicpark 05.22.2007 01:24 AM

i'm not cool enough to list "decades" but as far as albums i never really hear anyone mention as being amazing...

brainiac - hissing prigs in static couture
darth vegas - it came from beyond
dazzling killmen - face of collapse
gastr del sol - serpentine similiar
invincible czars - gods of convenience
loveliescrushing - blowneyelashawish
mr. bungle - disco volante [debatable, since a lot of people love this, but i remember this getting a ZERO in nme and not many people mention it as being that incredible, though it is easily one of the best albums EVER]
naked raygun - jettison
polvo - today's active lifestyles
six finger satellite - [any]
slowdive - pygmalion
space streakings - 7 toku
sunny day real estate - lp2
swervedriver - mezcal head
swirlies - blonder tongue audio baton [this was the first album i thought of when i saw this thread; love you, pbradley!!]
vicious hairy mary - orchestral phantasm

i know there's a million more but my brain is farting. it smells bad too. xinlisupreme is awesome btw.

pbradley 05.22.2007 01:29 AM

brainiac's a good call, too

I should have added Treasure in my list for the 80s. As for the 60s, I'll add Scott Walker - Scott 4.

I need to get this. They spent their wild youthful days and what to do about them are incredible!
