You could have a point. We've got alot of retards in this country.
Honestly, I think he's the best and most obvious candidate since before I was fucking born. Granted, he'd still lose come November, but that's just because the republicans have our entire electoral process bought, locked, & socked in their pockets.

val-holla-ing 01.08.2007 10:54 PM

i was just bullshitting, but you're very right about him being the best candidate since forever. after 8 years of republicans seriously fumbling up, i'd hope america, en masse, would be dead tired of having an obscenely shitty economy and being the butt of jokes across the world. but who knows, these colors don't run and the people probably wont get any smarter.

Pax Americana 01.09.2007 12:38 AM

There really needs to be a "None of the Above" switch in the polling booths.

!@#$%! 01.09.2007 01:14 AM

i really like obama, but i hope he waits out for another round. hopefully all those redneck cockbags who would not vote for him due to his skin color will be dead by then. and then also he'll be properly seasoned and marinated, unlike now-- washington politics are not for the inexperienced. you need to be a sly old fox, a real motherfucking machiavelli, with a good sincere smile of course, and he's not quite there yet-- they would chew him alive & spit him in 6 months, like it happened w/ kennedy.

SynthethicalY 01.09.2007 01:16 AM

Which Kennedy we speaking of?

!@#$%! 01.09.2007 01:27 AM

he was having a hard time @ the job before his head was turned to hamburger.

i definitely agree with you. i'm hoping he waits until 2012 to give it the ol' college try. if it came down to him being nominated against some right wing nitwit, though, i'd have to just chalk it up and hope that he gets in sooner than later.

SynthethicalY 01.09.2007 01:30 AM

O Ok I thought you where speaking of his Brother who got assasinated in the process to becoming the next president.

well thats the thing, the senate can just as easily be a set back for him, it's been along time since a sitting senator has won a presidential election, look at Kerry, he was in the Senate far too long, and his own votes backfired on him

four of the last five presidents have been Governors, the ability to manage a state government is more resume building then a seat in the congress, by that thinking Tom Vilsack or Bill Richardson become more qualified

also, 2012 is only good for Obama if the Republicans win in 08, Obama would have to wait until 2016 if a Democrat other then him wins, it's political suicide for a party if a sitting president looking for a second term has strong competition from his own party in the primaries, look at Eugene McCarthy challenging Johnson in 68, Pat Buchanan challenging Bush Sr in 92, it means the party is already in turmoil and will lose

so for Barack Obama, I think you go for it now and see how the waters are, otherwise if your party wins (there is no guarantee of that) you wait 8 years, vote in the senate and not make a hypocrite of yourself, and become too entangled in DC politics

but i will guarantee you one thing, we won't have a fundamentalist right-wing president in 08, bill frist smartly dropped his bid cause he knew it wouldn't fly, regardless of the economic standpoint, the next president will be social moderate or liberal, Bush hurt the conservatives too bad for their agenda to be re-elected again, so the Republicans are very much in favor of the more Moderate leaning members of the party McCain and Giuliani to be the head

krastian 01.09.2007 02:32 AM

Granted that I haven't done all my Obama research, but he sure as hell had me yelling in my apartment, "Fuck yes! Hell yeah, man....exactly! THANK YOU, DUDE! Who is this guy?" during his speech at the last DNC.

hmmmmmm.............

good points, good points, you got me rethinking now!

however, re: giuliani, have people forgotten before 911 he was a protofascist mayor whose cops raped immigrants with toilet plungers? oh yes im putting that squarely on his shoulders-- he has a history with hatians... but anyway, he's going to wrap himself in the 911 flag and run as a hero not as the [...] who covered up and glossed over the air pollution problem in lower manhattan (asbestos hotspots, etc). anyway sure nobody is perfect but rudy giuliani is downright scary, oh, wait & see...

i'll forget 9/11 before i forget how nypd systematically persecuted certain ethnic groups under his watch.

i'd never vote for a guy who shares a name with a mythical reindeer, anyways. rudolph = red nose = nose = long nose = pinnochio = full of shit

very true, people do change thought with time, and compared to others in the party cept McCain he's not the worst one could do

edit: to clarify, i am not defending nobody for what anyone did

look at Al Gore, he went from PMRC's senator spokesbitch in 1985, to teaching about global warming 20 years later
