i shower every day, also because i ride a bike very often for a long time, so showers become quite necessary.. i also wash my hair every day, my curls look really bad when i slept on them (actually they just disappear and my head looks like a fluffball died on it) and i get them back by making my hair wet and just letting it dry to the air.

i guess i'm pretty clean.

long fingernails on men can be really unattractive, but seriously short bitten ones look nasty too.

on flash news yesterday it said that it was found that in men's sweat some element deriving from testosterone, enhances women's (they should add gay men's also) libido. forgive that cant quote details, didnt catch names or in which science's magazine it was published. so you just have to believe me.

this is a well known "scientific fact", but when the "odor" becomes "smell" or "stink" I think the only thing enhanced would be women's speed while walking away.

Nefeli, you've learned (well, sort of) what a pheremone is. Hormonal elements in our perspiration have been found to cause an instinctual reaction, but being all sweaty and stinky cause another reaction based on societal, cultural, and environmental conditioning and that reaction is to, yes, as nicfit elucidated,

Fresh sweat is ok because it doesn't smell. It's only after a couple of hours, when bacteria on your skin start to break it down. The armpits have about 80% of your body's sweat glands, so if you wash well with anti-bacterial soap, the sweat shouldn't start to stink too much.

Excellent further clarification there.

So the stink that is sensed by the person fleeing signifies neglect and poor hygiene because subconsciously they know the odoriferous person is dirty with "old" sweat.
