now that is out of the way. lets just resort to insult instead of argument

HaydenAsche 04.22.2006 12:59 AM

Word. CIS/KYI, DDN, Murray Street. Those are landmarks. Not some shite-ass records from the early nineties.

EJTANS is arguably sy's most texturally varied, stylistically varied, and possessing of such beautiful moments as those that occur during 'sweet shine,' 'tokyo eye,' winner's blue's, 'BONE,' 'skink,' and FUCKING STARFIELD ROAD

Everyneurotic 04.22.2006 01:05 AM

sonic youth last good album was their self titled ep

they sucked since 1983, when i saw them at the roxy in la

I got out my idiot translation book and I think I know what you are saying. I don't really agree. It is okay that you have that opinion but I personally thing it was bland, boring, and just not freaking good. Bored me to death. I sold it days after getting it.

selkcip 04.22.2006 01:06 AM

etertiena 04.22.2006 01:08 AM

heh, a joke. i dont know the album that well but its not that impressive.

HaydenAsche 04.22.2006 01:09 AM

I might have dug it if I listened more. I dunno. I don't like SY that much. Plenty of better bands with life still left in them.

memory is fuzzy, especially when talking about the glam rock glory days!!!

but my point is that people still care about all these old washed up hacks. their music doesn't pass the test of time quite like bon jovi's, so why are people still talking about the sonic oldsters?

cuz they did it (paved guitar ringing goodness, drone energy) and are still openly amateurish despite their (perceived) clout

first of, i stress the "did" in your sentence. past tense baby!!! welcome to the new millennium!!!

who cares about that garbage. true good music is all about guitar solos ripped off straight from stevie ray vaughan, power ballads and rockers about how awesome it is to live in new jersey and how all of us should move there.

drone energy my ass!!!
