are you pretending to be cantankerous already, or are you pretending to be disgusted at the idea? i'f you're trying for the former, you could say that you'd have beautiful children with yourself. |
it was disgust at a 50 year old man pretending to be a 16 year old girl

First time I read it I thought you was sayin' "awww" like "that's cute." You people are no fucking fun. |

Intellivision pretended to be Cantankerous once by only posting/replying with her own past posts verbatim. She eventually, unlike porkmarras, caught on to the joke. |
I think that's genius!

i'll have to say, t&b sees perverts everywhere. which makes me wonder... Quote:
who was this "intellivision" you speak of? |
An alter ego, but you already know this and are merely feigning ignorance. Eventually I was instructed to knock it off hehee and made that into the last stunt.

It was fun. I had all these posts that I went in and copied and pasted into a text file from searching their posts. Then, it was great fun picking a choosing which quote to use that would sound like I was really just in the thread and not give it away too much. Haha, but they all gave so much away, the posts I used were only two weeks old or so at the most, yet people did not notice for a good while...a period of a several hours and about 30 posts being made. Cantankerous tried to turn the tables and do it to me with my own posts and I, of course, haha, caught it the first time. I just tried to search the threads for a minute, and couldn't find it. |
Would Cantankerous wear a shirt like this?
![]() |
Yeah, of course she would.
I've been listening to so many '72 and '73 shows lately with Taylor's slide...ah! |
Quote:
That's classic. Do you still have them? And want to share? It would great fun digging them up and using the judiciously from time to time. Could even code them, say, with a special color, to clue people in that it was a tanky quote. |

Taylor was so awesome. Those classic 68-73 albums would not have been as great without his contributions. |
Who among us are Cantankerous-o-philes? Let's start a club!
|
Definitely. I like his playing in '69, Altamont and such, but man he starts to really cook in '72 or so. Of course, his playing on Sticky Fingers is particularly amazing studio work too.
It's crazy how the Stones allowed themselves to really be kind of shown up by the wunderkind on all these tours, but yet, when he demanded more songwriting credits, they axed him. I guess Keith figured that a lot of people attending big shows would just assume it was him busting out those hot licks...haha. And Taylor had to put up with a bunch of shit too. He can really be heard a lot on Sticky Fingers and that's because the Glimmer Twins were too smacked out to hardly ever show up to the studio at the same time. By the time of Exile (which was only mostly cobbled together from a bunch of separate studio sessions), Taylor sort of sounds like he's just going through the motions, but he really outdoes himself on some of the tour performances. |
Quote:
Yeah, the biggest mistake the Stones made was not giving Taylor his due. He helped make them what they were, and they treated him like shit. The beauty of that period was how Taylor and Keith were opposites that complemented one another's style. Ron Wood is too much like Keith to create that same kind of chemistry. |
Quote:
definitely. don't you love perfect posts other people do? they don't come around often but when they do... |
Quote:
Haha...funny. Plus, I recognise the girl in the audience, near the end of the clip, who is covering her mouth and laughing. Not the 16 yr old trout girl. |
Quote:
This is what you think, sonny. What I failed to mention at the time is that I've noticed it straight away, as well as knowing from the start that Intellibollocks was you too. It's just that I'm very dismissive of unfunny stuff like that. |
Quote:
That gave me the creeps. |
Well then we're even.

it's the internet, what do you expect? |
I'm actually a 16 year old girl pretending to be a 36 year old man.
please don't tell Dateline. :( |
You devil.

Quote:
do you wear fake leg hair, or are you naturally hirsute? |
I mostly wear pants.
just because I like to pretend to be an old man on the net doesn't mean that I don't like to feel my soft smooth skin when I'm by myself. my face is an entirely different story. I haven't shaved that in weeks! |
