noone compares to early UNSANE

theyre loud, but theyre not noise music, at all. theyre one of my all time favorite bands, but black flag is very much just a regular punk rock band with the amps turned up to the max and played way louder and faster, meaning, hardcore punk.

noise rock... its such an open ended thing. i mean rock music thats noisy?????

they're early stufff with charlie ondras drumming insanity is pure raging noise rock I would say, more in how early sonic youth I consider noise rock where it feels like you are listening to sheets of noise sound and drums instead of guitars you know? I fucking love them. for the truly angry mo-fuck in all of us/

I second this, totally. With Ondras on board they were a phenomenal band.

I cant think of much that hasnt been mentioned here... I've always thought of Psychocandy as the ultmate noise album - kind of because some of the songs would be really dull if they werent caked in noise.

I've never got any scratch acid though - what're they like and what would people recommend?

this band is so fucking loud. saw them live and they blew me away, totally amazing noise rock, best band i have seen live so far...

That's good to hear. I came across them only days before they were playing on the west coast and I couldn't make it to their shows. I'll have to wait for next tour.
