i'd say go with the email and definitely mention that if she wants to see you or call you to explain, that she should do it.

OK. she sent me text messages during the day yesterday to ask me if i could rehearse today. my cell phone was turned off so as soon as i turned it on, the messages started coming up. i sent her a message i couldn't but that i wanted to talk to her about my future in the project.
so i call her on the cell phone. the answering machine.
so i call her to her house. she picks up.
the rest is history.
she yet gave me another reason to want to quit.

i feel bad about the way she treated me, taking into account i spoke in a completely normal volume of voice, and gave my most acceptable reason to want to leave...
i'm completely happy with my decision anyway.

i'll have a talk with the rest of the band tomorrow...

i don't think i need to be part of the creative area in the band. i just need to be confortable with its members.
i mean, i could play in a band in which the songs have been written and i'd just be there to play them. only if it's a band i'm a fan of.
i think that when you are going to be in a band in which you haven't/don't write the songs, etc. you have to do this little exercise in which you have to think if you would listen to it if you weren't part of it. or if you'd go to see it.
