I love anything that reminds me of psychedelic drugs and matthew barney is good at that

regurgitation time:

Elvis C. is okay; I know several people who have fairly good taste in music that like him way more than I do.

I am not a fan of his wife's music (Diana Krall) at all.

Seriously, talk about your dreamy dreamboats, and he had a voice like an angel to match.
I'll forgive the King of Rock 'n' Roll for his movies because he was just a pawn in Colonel Parker's game.

I still love the idea than Elvis Costello's father composed the tune for the ad in the link below and that E Costello sang harmonies on it:

Yeah, that's the reason a lot of people write him off- I don't think people know enough about his manager woes. Elvis was fantastic.

I'll say this for Elvis - him thrusting his hips on the "Ed Sullivan Show" was I think the first punk moment in popular post-WWII culture. Those thrusts had repurcussions that led to many a inspirational moment and movement for years afterwards.

He's another one, trust me, whose records I tried listening many times and simply didn't do it for me, save for the odd song.

I need to start putting a disclaimer below any remarks that I make about certain sacred cows that I don't happen to like so as not to offend or fail to give the impression that it's obvious that I know that Elvis Presley was a talented chap and hugely influential on many bands that I like, it's just that I don't happen to be interested in him or his music much.

Personal opinions are just that, personal.
